The Tampa Bay Rays
Okay, it’s official, the Rays are good. I don’t like to say that and it does hurt me inside. I was proud to live in a world where if you could count on one thing, it was that the Rays were not going to be a playoff team. In the past, Tampa Bay is the team that builds your momentum up by beating the crap out of them. My theory to the Rays’ success is not Evan Longoria (although he has contributed). My theory is that as soon as they dropped the Devil (they used to be the Tampa Bay Devil Rays) they became good. It’s like a magic spell. This is really pissing off Red Sox fans as it should. I always used to say that the only thing Tampa Bay had going for them was the “Devil.” Apparently I was wrong. Actually, I feel more threated by them now without the Devil, go figure. Anyways, this won’t continue and they’re not for real.
