The 2008 Homerun Derby
Last year I watched the homerun derby because I had nothing better to do. I fell asleep for an hour because it was so boring! All you do in a homerun derby is hit meatballs over the fence. Since last year’s was so boring, I decided not to watch this year’s. Well, to make a long story short, Justin Morneau, my Minnesota home dawg, won it. However, Josh Hamilton, a recovered drug addict, got the glory because he set some “fancy shmancy record” for most homeruns in a round. In my opinion, Morneau should have been the one who got the cheers. He actually won the thing. This just goes to show you that whenever someone can take fame away from the Minnesota Twins, they will. I think that we’re gonna see Morneau at his best in tonights All Star Game (if he plays). This grade goes out to all those who were chanting Hamilton’s name last night.
